We just had our son’s wedding at Elkins, and I was quite concerned about the remote location and rustic cabins in winter. Guests arrived from all over the country and found Elkins to be a special experience. Cabins were well stocked, clean and comfortable. Since guests stayed two nights, people were able to get excellent breakfast each day, snowshoe/tour area, or just hang out in their cabin with a warm fire in the fireplace enjoying their own food and drink. Wedding was beautiful, with couple married outside by the lake and mountains as their backdrop. Restaurant was closed for our private event, reception dinner was delicious and we danced and partied the night away! Guests told us it was one of their favorite weddings.
