Lakeview Mountain Trail

Crossing an old ski hill at the south end, the Lakeview Mountain Trail offers several scenic views of Priest Lake. This out-and-back trail is 4.2 miles round-trip and is easily enjoyed as a day-hike.

Located near Elkins Resort, this trail is also accessed from the property, making this a great option if you don’t want a little longer hike.

Upper Priest Lake Trail

This easy hike is 6.0 miles and takes you from lower Priest Lake to Upper Priest Lake. It is located 8 miles north of the resort at Beaver Creek Campground.  Due to its easy nature, this trail tends to be very popular so be sure to plan in advance with parking.

Continental Creek/Upper Priest Falls Trail

As one of the more scenic trails near Priest Lake, the Continental Creek Trail switchbacks through an old growth cedar stand all the way to the river bottom. Once at the river, hikers are led to an open area where the trail crosses the fork of the Upper Priest River. From here it brings hikers to the Upper Priest River Falls, near the Canadian Border. There are parts of this trail that are challenging, so use caution. Total hiking distance is 2.3 miles.  It is a bit of a drive so plan on packing a lunch on your adventure.
