The month of sending Valentines and saying those three special words is upon us and while we look forward to the romantic holiday, we don’t think it’s imperative to keep romantic weekends set to the specific date of the 14th! Celebrate Valentine’s anytime you wish at Elkins Resort with these romantic activities!
Dinner: Start your romantic getaway with a romantic dinner complemented with a glass of wine from our extensive wine list or indulge in our famous Huckleberry daiquiris! From Alaskan halibut to smoked prime St. Louis ribs, you and your loved one will find something pleasing to your palate on our dinner menu.
Bar date: If you and your partner prefer to keep date night a bit more casual, visit Trapper Creek Lounge where you’ll find craft cocktail creations or spiked hot chocolate. Recreate one of your first dates of meeting at the bar for a drink and then end up talking late into the night.
Snowshoe: With trails surrounding Elkins Resort, you and your loved one can enjoy a snowshoeing adventure together and explore the trails. After an afternoon trekking the snowshoe trails, you’ll be ready for a repeat of the romantic dinner option!
Snowmobile: If you and your partner have the need for speed, then try snowmobiling as you climb up the Selkirk Mountain’s trails that reach up to 7,000 ft. in elevation. This is truly a snowmobiler’s paradise with 400 miles of groomed snowmobile trails surrounding the property and maintained warming huts.
Build a snowman: Work on your communication and teamwork skills as a couple when you build a snowman or snowmen together. This activity isn’t just for the young ones though we can’t guarantee we can come referee if a snowball fight breaks out!
Dine in: Prefer a romantic escape that’s intimate and private? No problem, we have pick-up pizza to go at the front desk, so you two can enjoy dinner in your nice and cozy cabin and enjoy some quiet time together.
Wildlife watching: From your cabin or on a walk around the property, keep your eyes open for wildlife. We have resident deer and squirrels on the property year-round.
Visit the gift shop: Surprise each other with a little gift or vacation memento from our gift shop! You can also pick up some wine, beer, candy, and more to stock your cabin for your special weekend.
Stargazing: Go hand-in-hand for a walk around the resort and let nature put on a show for the two of you. Stargazing is a wonderful activity around Priest Lake unless you’re too busy gazing into your loved one’s eyes.
