Looking for pet-friendly accommodations at Priest Lake and things to do with your pet once you are here? Discover these fun activities to do with your pet and where to stay during your Priest Lake vacation.
Hike with your pup
One of the more popular dog-friendly activities to do at Priest Lake is hiking. Luckily there are a few dog-friendly hikes near Elkins Resort that offer both you and Fido fun and of course views. And as always when enjoying these hikes, be sure you keep your dog on a leash.
While the popular Granite Falls is easily seen with a short trip from the main parking lot, there is more to be seen if you take the entire hike. The hike takes visitors to upper Granite Falls and offers a peaceful walk through the Roosevelt Grove of Ancient Cedars. The pups will love the cool splash of the waterfall and you’ll love the beautiful scenery, it’s a win, win!
Lakeshore Trail is a 7.6-mile hike that takes visitors around the entire Priest Lake. The trail brings hikers along the shoreline, offering never-ending views of the lake and surrounding landscape. The flat easy hike is great for Fido and all seasons.
Priest Lake State Park
Priest Lake State Park is a dog-friendly park where dog-owners are allowed to bring their furry four-legged friend for a day of adventure at Priest Lake. Beside Priest Lake itself, the park offers plenty of bird, wildlife viewing, trails, and plenty of aquatic recreation. This is not a dog park, so all dogs must remain on a leash.
