What is Elkins Resort?
Elkins is a Full Service Resort with cabins, lodge, award winning Restaurant, Lounge, Gift shop and Store, boat launch, Marina with boat slips (covered and open, 60 boat slips), gasoline pump (boat dock gas + separate pump for snowmobiles, vehicles), a variety of rentals, and a 2000 foot beautiful swimming beach with playground equipment.

Where are you located?
Built by the Elkins family in 1932. We’re 30 miles south of the Canadian border and
90 miles from Spokane International Airport. Average daily summer maximum temperature is 82 degrees. Nestled in the Selkirk Mountain Range.

About the Cabins
The Cabins are available for rental 365 days a year. Cabins sleep from 2 – 14 people, rates range from $130/night to $647/night. Each Cabin has a full kitchen and is equipped with a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishes, pots and pans, utensils, an automatic drip coffee maker and a toaster. Blenders and mixers may be checked out at the front desk. There are no phones or TV’s in the cabins. Bring your own TV/VCR/DVD if you wish. Briquette BBQ’s are at every cabin. Briquettes sold in the Store.

All bedding is provided. Soaps and Towels are not provided in July and August, but are provided at all other times. No maid or towel service available.

Twenty cabins have fireplaces. Firewood and fire starters are delivered once daily in the early afternoon. Bring your own deck and beach chairs, plus beach towels.

Check-in time is 4:00pm. No early check-ins in July and August! Checkout time is 11:00am. No late checkouts in July and August!

There is a 2 night minimum stay, 3 nights for holidays, and weekly minimum, Saturday to Saturday during the peak July and August months.

There are no Hot tubs or Jacuzzis.

About Our Restaurant
Our award-winning Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and has to be experienced to be to be fully appreciated. The food is out of this world and the service is excellent. Try our world-famous Huckleberry Daiquiris!

Our hours: Breakfast: 8:00am – 12pm, Lunch: 12pm – 3:00pm, Dinner 5:30 – 9:00pm. Reservations are recommended and appreciated.

About The Lodge
The front desk is open 362 days a year from 8:00am – 4:00pm during fall, winter, spring and 8:00am – 9:00pm during the summer. We are here to serve you, answer any questions, make reservations, arrange rentals and to try and make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Board Games may be checked out at the front desk.

No rental rooms in The Lodge.

About The Lounge
The Lounge is open 11:00am to Midnight during the summer months. There is Live Music in the Lounge on Weekends during July, August and Holiday weekends. The Lounge hosts Karaoke Jam every Tuesday starting at 8:00pm in July and August. (Try our patented Huckleberry Daiquiri!)

The Lounge is open when the restaurant is open in the spring, fall, and winter. In very general terms, the restaurant and lounge are open weekends in the fall and late spring, during Christmas and New Year’s, and several weeks during the peak snowmobile season.

The restaurant and lounge are closed mid March to the end of April and then reopen weekends until Memorial Day weekend and daily thereafter during the summer.

Always check with the front desk if there is a question regarding the restaurant and lounge being open.

Internet connection, wireless, is available at the Bar in the Lounge and currently up to cabin #22

About The Gift Shop & Store
Open 362 days a year and chock full of goodies! The Store has the basics you’ll need – milk, bread, butter, soda, beer, wine, candy, ice cream, etc. The Gift Shop has lots of fun clothing and memorabilia from Elkins Resort and Priest Lake. Ice is purchased here at the Store/Gift Shop. Ice is in the freezer right outside the Store towards the lake. A Phone Booth is located on the lake side of the store. Spokesman-Review paper available in dispenser in same area.

The Gift Shop/Store is manned full time during the summer months, 8:00am – 9:00pm, and is available anytime in the fall, winter, spring months by going to the front desk and the person on duty will open the Gift Shop/Store for you and help you.

When you purchase Gas you may pay at the gas dock, Gift Shop or the Front Desk

About Our Rentals
Rentals are available at Elkins and arrangements made at the Front Desk.

We have: Pontoon Boat, Canoes, Kayaks, Mountain Bikes, Water-Skis, Wakeboards, Tubes, a Sky Ski, Surfboard and Snow Shoes.

We do not rent “ski boats / speed boats”.

We do not rent snowmobiles.

About The Laundry Facilities
Available at Nordman, 2 miles down on Highway 57, (where you turned right to come to Elkins – Where the Post Office is too).

Laundromat also at the Tamrak in Priest Lake, 11 miles south on Highway 57.

Nordman and The Tamrak at Priest Lake also have small grocery stores.

What Types of Activities Are There?
There are lots of things to do here at Elkins and Priest Lake. Swim at the beach, rent a Canoe, take a walk or extended hike on any of hundreds of trails, go Huckleberry Picking, (late July to early October), boating, water-skiing, mountain-biking, fishing, mushroom hunting, (summer and fall), volleyball, rock-climbing, snowmobiling, snow-shoeing, Hay rides/Sleigh rides just to mention a few! Elkins is also the place to stay if you want just a restful serene do-nothing vacation. It’s all here.
For something different take a short road trip and visit the Priest Lake Library or the Priest Lake Museum.

Priest Lake is the place to catch record Lake Trout–Mackinaw. While on vacation, it’s best to go with a Guide, unless you’re an experienced deep-water fisherman.

Golf – An 18 hole Golf Course is located in Priest Lake, 11 miles south on Highway 57.

Miscellaneous – There are seven Fire Pits on the beach that are stocked with wood.

Boat Trailers – An upper parking lot (across from cabin 20) is available for boat trailers. Please do not park them in front of your cabin or at The Lodge parking area.

Cell Phone coverage with Verizon and AT&T works fairly well.

Elkins hosts Weddings, Conferences and Reunions in the off-season.
